Betting is a Science

I am interested in various type of gambling, poker being my main focus but for the past year I have tried my hand at sport bookings. I have had a particular interest in NFL football. I have done pretty well all of last year and have done equally as well this year so far. I am by no means a pro at this yet but with a little research and keeping up with injuries or other events that might affect a player’s performance you can have some success. I am now going to give to the Mohawk Donkey family a peek of my strategy for picking the winner. First things first, check at least three different casino odds on the game you are looking to predict the winner. Another aspect of this research is to stay consistent by using the same three casinos, that way after a while you can develop and tweak your own particular strategy. Most casinos will give you the points spread on the games as well most of the time if the point spread is 6 or more then 90% of the time the professional odds are correct. Anything less than 6 points then you have to look at some more aspects of the game. For beginners if you hear a name that sounds familiar and that person is hurt then choose the other team to win. If a person is good enough that you recognize his name then he must have a significant impact on the team’s performance. The next thing you need to look for is the teams last two meetings and see what the out come is. Not only that but look at the teams winning streak, they may be on a roll and out to kick ass! If the team is on a winning streak of 7 or more games then I believe that it is about time for them to lose so an upset maybe ready to happen, just look at last year Super Bowl. In that game the Patriots had a 12-14 point spread to win, but I choose the Giants and made the correct call. The last and most important thing is to watch the game and try and be objective without having team pride get in the way. This is about making money not making sure that your favorite team wins. You can still make a bet against your team and still be a good fan, if you still feel bad go out and buy a beer stein with your favorite team on it or something like that. I hope these tips will help you on your way to being the next Sam “Ace” Rothstein.
